I know there are others on the market. I’m sure they are all good. I have no experience with any of the others except the MBZ net windscreen that came with my 2013 SLK250.

I wanted a low cost windscreen because I found when looking out the MBZ net windscreen the view to the rear was to dark and so was the cockpit.

I wanted a simple clear one that I did not have a lot invested in because I tend to only keep my cars a short time. I’m not mechanically inclined at all so before I ordered I called Jay and had him send me the instructions.

He was very patient speaking to me and e mailed the instructions right away. The instructions seemed easy enough that even I could do it.

I ordered on Sunday and received it on Wednesday. The packing was superb. In fact it took me longer to unwrap it then install it.

The quality was as professional as you can get. Rounded and polished edges, perfectly clear. Everything needed to install was included except a ruler. Installation took me all of 10 minutes because I went slow.

Once installed it looked great and was very solid. Just what I was looking for. Although your supposed to wait 24 hours before you drive top down …patience is not one of my virtues so I gave it a test run.

Top down it is at a minimum as good as the MBZ wind screen. I personally think it does an even better job and cuts out much more of the buffeting then the MBZ net one. But the main thing is I could see behind me without any problem.

With the top up it was perfect. I could see out the rear and it let more light in then before. It really opened up the cockpit.

I was looking around for a glass windscreen for my 2012 SLK350. I did not like the plastic windscreen that came with the car since it really obstructed the view thru the back view mirror.

There was very little available windscreen avail on the market for my car. When I contacted Jay, he was more than happy to quickly fabricate a custom pexiglass windscreen for my SLK. The windscreen was easily installed with self-adhesive tape and the detailed instruction included.

The results was fantastic and OEM looking. We can now enjoy driving top down without the wind buffeting that may mess up my wife's hair! I highly recommend Jay's windscreen if you have a newer model SLK350 (R172). Hal.

I received the windscreen I purchased from on the 3rd day after you sent it out.

It actually took longer to remove the packaging then it took to screw it into place. I've had it installed for a couple of weeks, now and I am really enjoying it.

t is at least as efficient as the net mesh screen provided by Mercedes, with the added bonus that I can actually use my rear view mirror.

The only shortcoming is that washing the rear window of the car requires that I partially raise the roof, so I must wash that rear window from time-to-time myself.

I got my windscreen for my 2005 Mercedes SLK 350. It fits perfectly and works great! Thank you so much for getting it made and out so quickly. I'll leave feed back on Ebay.

Wow Jay,

I received the windscreen for my SLK 230 in what appeared to be record time! Thanks for the quick response.


I installed it (it requires a star wrench, similar to an alan wrench, vice a Phillips head screw driver) in minutes (it took longer to unpack and take off the protective film and tape than install). I did use the self-taping screws on the edges, since it appeared we'd get some vibration if I didn't. I'll take the car out on the freeway today and let you know what I think...if the Plexiglas is more efficient than the black mesh original equipment windscreen (it certainly is more transparent and easier to see via the rear view mirror).

Jay, I just installed the windscreen on the SLK today. As you said it installed in minutes including the 2 self taping screws. Sure makes a difference!

As you promised, the windscreen was installed in about 7 minutes. It dramatically cuts the wind on the back of the neck which is great. A nice surprise is that we were not charged any customs duties by Canada Customs. Your communication was great and we would be happy to recommend you.

Received my windscreen Saturday, installed it Sunday and Monday drove all day with the top down.

 

Easy to install, simplistic in its design but extremely effective buffer to wind turbulence, works great.

 

Fits well even with the top up. Looks factory with the top down.
